Also, remember the battery has a positive post, and it uses a few more bolts to hold it onto the post and send power to the electrical connections and retrieve power from the alternator/stater wire that also bolts to the battery - using an adapter - under that red cap you can remove, see and inspect those connections.

When you see that cap, lift up the Battery post side...
You'll find the Post to Block adapter- that bolt - if it's corroded or loose or the battery post adapter itself needs to be cleaned, take some time and lean it and reassemble the block and post adapter and make sure the metal surfaces are clean and not rusted or corroded from a leaky battery or exposed to what the battery can leave behind and ruin your car and or day.
