Hello,

My friend is having trouble with the blend door actuator in her Ford Fiesta
VII 5 doors 1.0 SCTi EcoBoost 12V mHEV S&S 125 cv
Engine = B7JB, Year = 2021

I replaced the blend door actuator

I aligned the arrow before installing the white gear

but it works for two or three days and then breaks down without even touching the temperature control knob
I've been reproducing it several times

It's not a clicking sound but rather a sound like the engine forcing and then releasing

I found online that you have to turn the ignition on without starting the engine and recalibrate by holding down the AC button for 10 seconds
There were a few very faint noises, and the temperature on the screen was flashing, but that didn't solve the problem—it's only blowing cold air now, no more hot air.

Does anyone have any information or know the procedure for this?
I've also found that sometimes you need to use FORScan to recalibrate—is that the case?
I've already used this software to activate the backup camera I installed

Thank you very much
Sorry, English isn't my native language

Since we are in the USA, take this for What It's Worth...

The unit needs to be "calibrated" before you insert, so that means you reset the unit out of the car, using the alignment mark (you sound like you did that correctly - see the index and the missing tooth cutout on the cog).

The calibration of the unit is done, but is the throw or mixer door location in the range of it's motion set correctly? You Check - then reset the throw calibration of the car-side (your A/C maneuver) with the old unit out - Once that is completed - you can then insert the new unit to take over using the systems calibration of throw - then observe the results. If it's too far in one direction as in all hot or all cold, then the unit needs to have the mark and vane on the physical mixer door seated correctly - for the new motor is thinking it's at one full stop and will get damaged by the system trying to force itself to align when it's on the wrong side of the turn it's supposed to make.
