Hi everyone,
Looking for a bit of advice and also putting the feelers out in case anyone might be interested.
My Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost (63,000 miles) has unfortunately broken down. I’ve been told the oil circulation/pump has failed, meaning the engine has effectively been running without proper lubrication. A mechanic has advised that it’s likely not worth repairing given the cost vs the value of the car.
The car was in good condition prior to this; low mileage for its age and no major issues before this happened other than the USB/Bluetooth being a bit temperamental and dent on the left skirt.
I’m just trying to figure out my best option now:
Is it worth selling as spares/repair?
Has anyone dealt with a similar issue on these engines?
Or would anyone potentially be interested in the car for parts or a project?
Happy to provide more details.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
