If the turbocharger is removed and inspected it might be determined that it is Ok. A careful inspection is the only way to find out.
The cooling system on the 1.0 is rather vulnerable to failure in several different areas. Some items are easier and less expensive than others. The 1.0 Ecoboost requires an owner who is very diligent about preventive maintenance. One failed component is enough to destroy the engine and the maintenance budget.
