Hello, please help. My friend pulled a couple of fuses out of my fuse box inside behind glove box. I believe to of put them back in order. Now car won't start and the message says steering assist malfunction service required! Yikes!! What can I do to fix this? I tried everything I believe. Battery disconnect, hold pedals down, throw salt over shoulder!! My ob2 doesn't respond after I plug it in and key is on. Help me please?? 2011 focus se

You have a 2011 Fiesta? The main battery connection - has a "Breakout box" bolted to the main positive terminal post. The post itself uses that pinch bracket on the battery post to bolt adapter to bolt onto that box.

IF the wires to that break out box on the Battery are loose - you get messages like this and you'll just need to remove the adapter, unbolt that box, inspect the wiring - clean off any corrosion and use a good grease or waterproofing lubricant on the cleaned connections and reassemble the box to the bracket and to the battery post - it may have lost good connection to pass into that breakout box once you took apart the battery post from the battery - that jumbling may have loosened the wiring and now you just have to clean it up and put it back together.
