Hi everyone,
I have a 2009 Ford Fiesta. Recently, I programmed the trip computer and installed a new ambient temperature sensor. However, I’ve noticed that the reading on the trip computer (the small display on the instrument cluster) is almost always 10°C or more higher than the actual ambient temperature.
The reading is off even before I start the car, so it’s not related to engine heat. The sensor itself is installed behind the front bumper.
I know there are already some topics about this on the forum, but I haven’t found a clear answer yet. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is it possible to calibrate the measurement somehow, or is there anything I should check? I tried resetting it by holding the AC button and the recirculation button for 3 seconds, then pressing AC again, but that didn’t do anything.
Also, I’m not sure if there are different types of ambient temperature sensors for the Fiesta. Mine has the code: 6M5T-10K936-AB.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
