Hello fellow fiesta owners.
I have the 2013 pre facelift kinetic fiesta with airbags on the seats. I get error codes B0001 and B0010 in the RCM module meaning that thre's an issue with the airbag deployment system on both seats!

The codes first appeared when I stripped the interior to remove the carpet to let it dry after lots of rainwater entered through the roof window after a heavy storm. When I put the seats back in both codes didn't go away. I'm quite confused on what to do. As far as I have understood, so long as the issue were resolved, the light would have to disappear. But I am not sure if there's something that I did wrong.

I did drive the car with only the driver seat and no carpet for a couple of days but still i thing it shoul`ve been resolved by now. I know its not the connectors of the seats since that I checked 5 times already. I also checked that there were no seat specific airbag fuses. What should I check next?

Were there any changes to the seats, like mods, during the repair?

Many times the connectors and their wiring are at fault - even though they use gold plated connections - the type of connector you use in the seat has also a yellow - or other color identifier for the Air Bag SRS used in the seat itself. It's shrink wrapped wires and they use a ferrite bead to silence ground loop currents to reduce noise and prevent false triggers.

Once the connectors are pried apart or separated, you may need to pull the battery ground cable and completely reset the system so the system and the SRS can relearn the ground to battery negative potential connections That may require some cleaning and re-seating - So it may need a little more detail work from you to re-check grounding - for the SRS system looks for and works on - sending current thru these squibs (the trigger fuse for that bomb to go off) and checks the results using electronics and "memory" - it will light the light if any are out of an operational window - and will show up in location on the Instrument Console Pods - HEC Self-Test mode you can bring up yourself.

To reset this light though - will require a DTC scanner with SRS capability to inspect scan and reset any potential causes - but you will have to do you homework first and make sure the connections are like OEM when it was originally put together.
