I have a 2013 S with the basic radio. The auxiliary input is pure static. Is it fixable or will it need to be replaced? Easy or hard job? Youtube videos I've found seem to be for a different setup than I have. Thanks.

What kind of audio system do you have? That main console display "tells the Tale" being that when you start the car, that console "boots" with a displayed wording like

"Ford Audio System" - then it uses one kind of connector harness to the Radio head unit and...
...if it does not show that...
It would mean FORD logo appears - then that means the connector is separate with its own harness to a SYNC unit under the Glove-box

So it may help explain the types of Y-Tube vids you see are not equal to your situation.

Can you post a pic of what your console "Boots" as? We may be able to help or at least give others hope for a solution.

However, due to the changes - the older "Ford Audio System" may be harder to find than the more modernized FORD colored logo display one. - Due to one was used more extensively in the UK while USA was modded to the newer more current display.

Thanks for the reply. That was my first post on here, but I've been looking at this site for years. The Fiesta has been in the family since new, and this is my second time as it's owner.

It's the absolute base model radio, so no Ford logo. The jack is right below the shifter, next to the 12V input. Not a good spot for it at all, as debris falls right into them.

There is a 2013 at my local Pick Your Part that I'm going to have a look at today. I'll use it as a test case in removing the various plastic pieces to get to it, so when I do my own I won't hack things up. 13 year old plastic parts often don't want to cooperate.

It looks that once I can get access to it, the jack assembly should just snap out-no wiring to deal with. I'll post with how things go.
