I have a 2017 Ford Fiesta base model and the Bluetooth likes to go out randomly. I can connect to my phone it says it's connected and the car can pick up text and phone calls but it won't play any media. This started a few months ago a a little while after I bought the car. I was just driving normally when for some reason my music just stopped and it said "Bluetooth Media Disconnected" and then a few weeks after that it went back to normal like there was never any problem with it. And now about a month or two after that the sync has decided to do the exact same thing again but this time while I was at a stop sign. Are there any fixes to this or any ways that I could get the Bluetooth to turn back on?

It may not be the SYNC unit causing this, it may be due to the level of BT-enabled devices in and around the area you're in that is swamping it or shutting it off.

And many reasons for it, including privacy and interference.

Mostly Motion sensing and camera both for detection and blocking.

I am going thru this too, and still tracing down the culprits - technology that can interrupt even a closely paired BT- connection to a phone...inside a car...

So when I get that I reset using a method of pulling the fuse and forcing a reset...
