Radio/media issue

I have a 2015 Fiesta that's had a few issues with the radio since I bought the car. I was looking at possibly getting a new radio for it, but prices are a little more (and by a little, I mean a lot) than I'm willing to buy something for. So I started Googling and YouTube the issues and so far no luck. The knob on the radio itself barely works, if I try to turn sound up or down it'll usually jump down, but the volume button on the steering wheel work perfect. The media button doesn't seem to work, though, I'm now sure 100% since whe I plug my phone into it via the USB port down by the e-brake handle there is no indication that it's connecting, also the same for the audio port right beside it. Is this something fixable, or should I look harder into replacing the whole thing?
