Radiator Fan Only Working On Low Speed

Hi. I had my air con re-gassed along with a new compressor a couple of days ago. It works great now but the shop told me that my radiator fan has two speeds but only the slow speed is working. He said something about a sensor or relay may be faulty. Does anybody know when the faster speed should kick-in and has anybody successfully solved this issue? Thanks. (2009 1.4litre Petrol Automatic)
