- 2004 Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec
Hey people, I have a question if anyone can help me...
Basically I've got a 2004 1.4-litre, 16-valve petrol zetec Fiesta and I was wondering if the cams out of a 1.6 16-valve Fiesta would be compatible??
This may sound bizarre, however it's actually not and the reason I say this is because many years ago I had a 1990 1.6 VW Golf which was a basic model and I took the cams from a 1.8 8-valve GTI and not only did they work but the results were unbelievable! It completely increased the power and torque dramatically and the best part was it only cost me £25 for the cam from a salvage yard.
So has anyone tried this and if so what was the results? And if no one has then Ill be the forums Guinea pig and give it a try being that I'm replacing the timing belt in a couple of weeks.
