I doubt that Ford will be involved in endorsement -sponsorship deals in the future that last as long as the Ken Block- Monster energy arrangement endured.
Right now, global automakers are scrambling to preserve their cash. The microchip shortage is causing production stoppages. That is a direct, bottom line loss plus the loss of cash flow.
When Ford withdrew from all top fuel drag racing a few years ago, that could be traced back to the decline in the popularity of the sport.
I would have expected to see Ford more involved in off road truck racing by now. But, i think that the China virus shutdown killed the possibility of that
