Hi,
My son's 2018 Fiesta should have Apple CarPlay but this has stopped working. Ford had a look when it went in for an MOT. They said it works with Android and that they believe the SYNC module needs replacing. They could try re-installing the software first but don't think this will fix the issue. Cost is circa £1k

I've done a bit of research and the first thing I want to try is to pull the fuse in then out. Problem is the list of fuses in the owners manual doesn't list 'SYNC or APIM' so I'm unsure which fuse it is. Location 17 lists the Voice Control, Information and entertainment display and Compact disc player. Is this the correct fuse?

Second thing I would like to do is see if I can replace the SYNC module entirely. I've read that it can be located under the glove box and there is an image on this forum showing what it looks like but mine looks nothing like that. If not, it will be behind the display screen and that will all need removing which may be a bit too much for me to attempt.

Ford were going to try re-installing the software. Is this something I could try myself?

Thanks in advance for any help,
CH

Just tried removing the fuse. Fuse 17 was definitely the one. Left it out about 30 minutes and no change. Thought it would've wiped everything too but it didn't. Should it have?
