I am getting a chirping/scrape noise from I believe to be the crankshaft sprocket. I have the parts and tools I need but I'm lost on the procedure to replace it as there are so many videos and posts contradicting each other on what I need to do. Some say to remove the starter insert a locking tool, others don't even mention it only the flywheel locking tool and just using a strap wrench to hold the pulley while removing the bolt, and some say you need to do the 90 degree then 15 degree turn while others don't mention that. A few even show taking off the rocker cover and using another tool there.
What is the actual process In need to do or is there a manual or something I can get that shows the procedure and not a bunch of shortcuts?
I have a 2016 Ford Fiesta S no eco boost 1.6L.
The sound it is making: https://youtube.com/shorts/iMALehr5K9g?feature=share
I have this timing kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4PLPDH6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
