- 2012 Ford Fiesta 1.6l NA Manual
1. Does anyone else have a "check valve" that looks like the one pictured? Looks like a dummy check valve to me. I do not see how it could possibly operate
2. Any way to bench test the NVLD? One terminal is ground, the other is power, the last goes to pcm. Ground to ground and 12v to the other pins should make it pump? Or will that break it?
3. Does the NVLD act as a check valve? Does it regulate pressure in the tank and make sure I'm not driving a bomb? Air flows freely through it with just mouth pressure. I've unplugged my purge valve to fix driveability concerns and when I arrive to my destination, I either stick *the* funnel in gas cap or remove my dummy check valve. And never hear/feel a pressure exchange happen. "Inferred tank pressure" remains at -0.1 - 0 psi always
