Hi new here... i drive a 2019 Ford Fiesta SE

My name is Vinny and I just relocated to GA from NY I'm 28 with 2 kid's and a wife and when I came to GA i bought my "Little Blue" ford fiesta from somebody who kind of screwed me and the camshaft broke free within a month so when I informed them of what happened to the car they swore up and down that they were sorry and that they will fix it with an engine swap and that it will just be 2 days and I can get my car back however 2 days turned into 2 months and they decided to upcharge me for way more than the agreed upon amount and now my car came back to me with more codes showing a misfire in cylinder 1 & 4 and making like a breathing sound also now my brakes are getting like "puffed up" and lock (sorry I don't know how to describe it other than the brakes feel like there is a big balloon that is blowing up stopping me from pressing the brake after driving it for a long time) I don't know what to do or where to start and my dad who is back in NY always praised the ford forums so I figured I'd give it a shot myself

Any and all help would be fantastic... my dad used to be the one person who I would go to for this

I'm not sure what you mean by saying " the camshaft broke free". I guess that would be similar to the timing being off because the sprocket or pulley slipped due to incorrect torque? The crankshaft pulley is not keyed and this complicates the job of timing belt and water pump replacement because it MUST be marked precisely before disassembly and then the technician must perform a calbration procedure with an enhanced scan tool that will confirm the timing position for number one cylinder. You should find a local shop that has some experience with the fiesta 1.6 engine. And explain what occurred. I wouldn't recommend that you drive your fiesta until this problem has been addressed by a competent person.

The breaker bar above the first lobe chewed through and stripped the housing and that lobe was able to push higher up than its supposed to and it ate the sensor located above it... i thought i caught it before significant damage was done to the head but when i looked at it the lobe, breaker bar & where it sits in the engine were chewed up so i opted for an engine swap just to get screwed by some dirty people who i was giving a second chance

I am sorry that you had such a bad experience with the purchase of your Fiesta. I ordered both of my Fiesta's as new and can't say anything negative about the whole experience. When I am buying a used car, I do not allow the sellers to sweet talk me with promises to do any maintenance as an incentive to purchase. It just isn't worth the risk of disaster.
