What changed from the 2013 to 2014 with the headlight assemblies? They have different part numbers and much different pricing

Style for one, and how they fit the newer style of hood and front nose.

The slat-slope nose was replaced with a chromed front grille as well as raising the height of the nose by changing the slope of that nose-to-bumper skirt - affects the fitment of the older headlight to the newer form and fitment so they went with a new plug-to-fit-the-hole meaning they had to design the headlamp overall shape to fit this new style approach.

Cool, then I won't try cheaping out by getting the 2014+ style. I wouldn't mind the styling change if it physically bolted up and didn't look goofy. Just out of curiosity, I looked for a while for an answer before posting, where did you get your info (for future nonsense questions).

I own one - 2018, but drive another for work fleet - a 2013 - so I know both designs well and their shapes are different. The nose on the two assemblies one - won't fit the other and let you close the hood. - at least not without some cutting...

Lamps used are same, but wiring to them is different and in later years became modular - as in they made one wired socket instead of different sockets and individual wiring to them.

The S, SE and SES models (Later Titanium replaces the SES) the Hi-beam and Lo-Beam and turn signal still followed their trim lines - but when you got one from a different trim line - not all the lamps and their functions were the same types - some only used Lo-beam and Hi-beam separated. The trim lines dictated which ones would be individual lamps - while other trim used Hi-Lo beams combination in mixed methods. for DRLS operations
