Could anyone help me with an issue on my Ford Fiesta 2013 hatchback? The dashboard displays the error message: “Transmission Service Now.” When I scanned the vehicle, it showed the error code P0606. Could you please help me resolve this problem?

We live in the USA so the P0606 error code may be serviceable because of our countries efforts to provide warranty thru watchdog agencies that help consumers.

Ford is aware of TCM failures, but if the dealer that sold you the car can inspect it, it may be possible to have the TCM fault fixed because they can replace the transmission and that module that powers it - thru Fords' Customer Service program and the known issues around recalled parts.

If you have time...try using this as a search criteria in your Google phone...

Code:
Ford 2013 Fiesta P0606 DTC code
Else, the only other suggestions are to clean up grounding points the vehicle uses to help return power back to the battery - also to improve the TCM's performance. The TCM shifts the vehicle using motors; solenoids and actuators in the transmission. They require power from the battery. So good electrical connection is needed. So inspect and clean battery terminals and any accessible electrical connections like those found at the battery can go a long way to help clear up this issue.

Thanks for sharing these insights. I appreciate the detailed explanation and troubleshooting steps. I’ll start by checking for any applicable Ford Customer Satisfaction Programs or recalls related to the TCM and PCM for my 2013 Fiesta. I’ll also follow your advice to inspect and clean the battery terminals and grounding points to ensure proper electrical connections.
Additionally, I’ll run the suggested search for Ford 2013 Fiesta P0606 DTC code to see if there are any relevant TSBs or updates. If needed, I’ll schedule an inspection with the dealer to confirm whether the issue can be addressed under warranty or through Ford’s service program.
Thanks again for the guidance—this gives me a clear path forward.
