- Fiesta 59 plate 1.25 petrol
My Fiesta 1.25L 2010 started making a metallic chattering noise when the clutch is pressed down. It sounds like something is loose to rattle around when the clutch is not engaged. The clutch does not slip, however.
Regardless of the cause, sounds like the only solution is a new clutch kit. I've been quoted £400 by my garage.
Thing is, it's got 135k miles (it's a petrol), and it's 15 years old. But, I did get the cambelt done only a couple years ago, and it's in alright condition otherwise. Is it time for a new car?
