Here is what I had done through
on my 175,000 mile service on
my 2017 Oxford White Ford Fiesta
SE Sedan on November 21st, 2025:

Oil and Filter Change and Service
Dismounting and Removal of Used All-Season Tires
Brake Inspection
Mounting and Installation of Used Studless Snow Tires
Four Wheel Alignment
Interstate Battery Replacement.

I purchased the car brand new in April of 2017,
and in April of 2021, I replaced the original
Motor craft Battery with a New Interstate Battery.

I could probably make it on my second battery
and wait until my annual New York State Inspection
in April of 2026, but I decided to play it safe and
replace the second battery with a third one,
since a battery can fail after 48 months.

To the Ford Fiesta Community out there,
how long should you wait before you
replace a battery?

For battery it really depends on where you live. In AZ typically my battery lasts about 3 years due to the heat.

For most people - the placard on the side of the battery usually serves as the "Gauge" for how long the battery should last.

That is - under Normal use.

So use your best judgement - anything these days due to the weather extremes - places even the placard under scrutiny as actually being or having an enforceable issue when it comes to getting anything more than a core value you would receive upon replacement of that battery.

IF you're the kind of guy that simply drives the car and lets others service the vehicle - that may Shorten the life of the battery for it may not fall under the garage's service checks and endpoints for follow up. They may not be allowed to service the battery for they are only required to do the work they are contracted to do - as in - oil change - they change your oil - not change your battery or even will offer to service it; for it is not part of their agreement they are charging you for the work they will perform.

If you pay attention to your car, and clean the engine bay with mild soap and water rinse - much of the corrosion issues and left over dried acid the battery will emit; leave as residue - will not cause more problems as long as it's done on a regular seasonal basis.
