The Fiesta is a car that is much maligned in the US, but 99% of that is due to the auto trans that Americans treat like a regular auto trans.
The manual cars are the best. The trannies don't break if you don't abuse them. It's an economy car, not a racer.
That said, the Fiesta has a grand racing heritage, and the oldest, cheapest ones you can find still handle quite well, if you have the first clue about driving a FWD.
I drive the performance version (the ST in my pic), and it corners like nothing else close to the price point.
The basest base model has that chassis, and it's tight.
