Fuel Injector Diesel

Hello I'm new here and its not my car, its my wifes car
It had had a few problems, jerking, revs dropping off, so I called a mobile mechanic, he had a look at it and said it was the fuel injector
I thought thats okay
But I need the part number
Tried calling Fords, yes they got em in stock @ 550 quid
I thought that is a bit steep, so started looking for something cheaper
They all want a part number
I have no idea how to get the part number, I dont know if its on the injector
I dont want to take it out just yet (until I got the part number and ordered it)
Its a Fords Fiesta, 5 door, 1400 cc diesel (on the log book it says variant F6JB1
Has anyone any idea on the part number ?

We never got that engine in the US. Fuel injectors in diesels do eventually wear out. Diesel fuel is abrasive, and will do that. There has to be some source for information for that part somewhere.

No problem. There must be someone who can get the part #. Perhaps some garage that specializes in Fords?

Oh, they all have em in stock, they will all sell them,but the prices are ridiculous

They wont tell the part number, its like its a trade secret

I have tried Fords main dealers, KwikFit, Mr Clutch, but they have to deal with the same suppliers I do and they are having the same problem

I cant buy anything, I might end up with the wrong one and then I'm stuck with something I cant use

They sold those engines in the UK. Somebody can tell you the right part #. You will have to poke around.

Well I dont think I am going to find it here, If noone in the US has any idea about the engine
The US dont have a lot of diesel car
I'll try a UK forum
