I got a 2018 fiesta with 75000 mile a few months ago . Auto transmission shifts between 2500 to 3000 rpm . Is that normal?

Welcome! Yes, even most 4-cylinder vehicles (like the Fiesta) are geared towards fuel economy to run about 3,000RPM as a shift point before they upshift. That is with an automatic - however with a Manual 5-speed stick you can choose a different way.

Even CVT's use a similar pattern of shift like Automatics use. So their fuel economy and best Torque ranges seem to be "Fixed" for the most power in a band range - usually about 2,500 to 2,700RPM on up to as high at 3,500 RPM - else trying to run higher you pretty much waste the rest of the effort on just spinning the crankshaft

There is a thread (or two-several really just search) about this...

Below is from a personal-research project based upon the above thread dealing with the shifting chart you'd find in a Fiestas owners manual - the gear it uses to the speed it works that gear in - in turn also relates to how much RPM is used thru the Ranges of the Gears.
