Good morning Fiesta Owners !

Yes that is correct tuning for your 2011 Fiesta with the TiVCT N/A engines it is now available thru OBD2.
While tuning for these cars have actually been doable 8 years ago thru boot mode by passing the TC1766 immobilizer chip
on these Continental EMS 2205 .Powerboost Inc from South America where the 1st ones to be able to in fact tune one
making it turn all the way to 7000K on 91/93 Octane pump gas .
While boot mode has been available for that long you would have to find someone with
the following programmers :Ktag or Kess3(newer units), MMS, Flex/17,and Dimsport transdata would have done the trick
however that would have required sending the unit to a specific shop like I did and have it opened
it only took 3 days being the fact I live in mid north Fl and the tuner was in Atlanta (PCM tuners)
he received the unit with in 24 hrs , even send me a video explaining what he was doing and walk me thru the process.
the reflash itself took maybe 2 hours , soon as it was done . The unit was boxed and ready to be returned .
This was back in November right around holiday starting season so 3 days was very fast considering.
ALIENTECH!! is what you guys want to look for!. They have the Protocol to simply plug thru obd2.
I have yet to find anyone down here in Fl who runs that programmer or anything similar for that matter .
Green Technologies will also flash in bench mode with out having to even open the unit BUT it will still have to be
removed from vehicle obviously , and other than few TY videos I don't much about them except they are very expensive.
My tune cost $450 and is a base map I am sure that someone with the right Tools and Dyno can modify further than
140HP and 128lbs TQ while may not be that much more I honestly would not know on that part.
I would assume that you would need bigger injectors, fuel rail , Fuel reg. and higher volume Fuel pump ,aftermarket intake ,etc .
Things that I have yet to see for these cars and we will probably never see .

My advice is do your research as I do not know how much a tune thru OBD2 can actually cost ,what I do know
is with remote tuning available these days is definitely worth looking into as viable option , just don't expect to
pull ST numbers .
Done by Power boost 8years ago:

Happy Tuning yall !

I wouldn’t have a problem with just sending the ecm to the shop. I don’t think that the cost is excessive. Thanks for the update and heads up on this development!
It will be interesting to see how much fuel the pump driver can be induced to deliver. It won’t have to be much.
I am going to dig out the baseline Dyno results sheet and send it with the ecm. At least maybe they can get some more insight into if the rev limiter, fuel mapping and timing might be better optimized somehow. I haven’t given any thought to this in a long time.

You are welcome
Absolutely I didn't think it was neither
And if in doubt dyno-chiptuningfiles.com
Has the information simply register is free
Select new file service, select vehicle and it
Will open a check box so speak section and there
You will see Stg 1 tune and Stg 2 tune
Stage 2 being a bit more specific as far as DTC removals , certain deletes and will ask for list of
Bolts ons / modifications ,and there is small brief description that states" if you wanna ask for more power Stage 2 is where is at ".I assume the car at that point will have to be ON a dyno , honestly I don't know , but pretty cool website and you can search any vehicle , and if you have questions they usually reply around 24 hrs since they are from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 but the file service is 24/7.

From the pioneers themselves.
As I was curious on how much gain was feasible with basic bolt ons
And this was the response I received:

Luis,

We have seen up to 145 HP on these engines using just a long header decat exhaust.
Best regards.

So while many would say" idk 145 hp is not that big of an increase", the car itself only weighs 2580lbs
That's 20.8 ish percent increase, power to weight ratio be main focus , just like Honda did I the 90s
Light weight, rev happy 4 bangers rivaling everything on the streets with basic mods and tunes. If we only had similar aftermarket support, we be giving the bigger cars a run for their money on a 4 door daily comuner car 😆 , of course just like everything the bigger cars manufacturers learn and updated their
Creations to not fall behind with the little guys that cost half the price and can perform just as well , like the ST/RS while i have nothing against boost, just love the sound of N/A screaming to red line [driving]

That sounds like a great idea , that way you can truly see the difference , i have yet to dyno my car even tho can tell the difference right away . Who are you going with as far as sending the unit ? As far as the Fuel Pump being a closed unit makes it hard to modify , my first thoughts would be , Walboro with aftermarket FP Regulator, definitely would need a low CAI and see if the injectors of a 5.0 would mount to the fuel rail ( they actually interchange with lots of vehicles, not sure on this case) My 92 Cadillac Deville has 5.0 injectors out of an interceptor and they mount just the original Rochester ones , the old 5.0s not the new ones , they are 4 stream with better fuel delivery into chamber . Looking forward as to what you may accomplish , hell you may be the first to reach 150hp , So good luck and keep us posted !!

I contacted Alien-Tech USA, and this is the response i received

The EMS2205 can either be accessed via OBD or direct to ECU
We do not sell used or reconditioned tools.
KTAG and KESS2 were discontinued in April of 2022.
Your option would be for the KESS3 in either of the 2x below formats

$3599 KESS3 with Car protocol OBD
$3099 KESS3 with Car protocol for Bench
$999 ECM Titanium – calibration editing software PROMO when bundled with KESS3

Chris Collier
Technical Sales, Alientech USA

While that is an option , i am working on a slightly different route , will have more information soon
and will definitely keep yall posted !!

There is one more option i forgot to mention the Slave version of Kess3 with protocol is $1899
Now keep this in mind guys all these options have numerous vehicles and protocols dating as far back as 1998
so buying one of these devices is an investment , not just a stand alone for one vehicle , protocols are released
just about every week .

The route i was working on is a No Go, so now I'm waiting on another Company from Europe and hopefully ill have some answers in the next 2 weeks

Hello there folks , so big update i finally found a cost friendly tuner that works !
as the company from Europe was a no go either
So had to go as far a China
PCM Tuner magic car tool with 67 integrated modules can read and write EMS2205 among other ECUs that aren't as popular or tune friendly , however ACTUAL READ needs to be done on BENCH MODE and sometimes BOOT MODE (open unit) using Module #53. checksum and writing can be done tru OBD with module #4 ,just make sure your internet connection is stable and continuous and have a handy charger or battery stabilizer or simply use gauge #2 (minimum), jumper cables like i did using my wifes Expedition to stabilize Voltage . While i did not read the unit since i already have The Original file at hand plus my ECU been opened once, in order to Tune or Calibrate you will need the Original from your own ECU, sadly sharing yall mine won't do yall any good because vin number mileage and immobilizer system . etc. The other option will be to buy from a reseller database Original files where you should be able to find the exact software used for your particular ecu, year model, vin , hardware number ect, while those files are inexpensive, the liquescence to acquire them is . Being the tool is a Master version you can use a file service from your tuner of choice or any file service and just simply flash into the unit if you do not feel comfortable attempting calibration yourself . You will need Calibration Programs if you are , ECM Titanium ,Winols , HEX Editor ,Bit box, etc. Some old versions can be used free ,good for practice while latest ones require purchase of license/certification . I myself still figuring installation and how to use some of these Programs ,good news there are free lessons on YouTube courtesy of HP Tuners as well as full academy courses you can buy from them . The concept is the same regarding what Program you decide to go with and they explain to detail in very simple terms . From what i have seen , learning the binary system is a huge help to identify maps or potential maps . There is so much information out there and even Forums that their main focus is Tuning and calibration . check out the link below
and always look ECU list before buying any programmer for that matter .

Keep i mind there is an 8hr difference between this particular seller and US mainland. of course you can go with any seller you want , but at least is a start for those who want to learn like i do
